What is RF Skin Resurfacing?

Skin resurfacing with radiofrequency (RF) technology is a nonsurgical, noninvasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes pulsating beams of energy to eliminate damaged skin cells and designed to improve the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

How does Plasma RF Skin Resurfacing work?
The Accent Prime skin resurfacing procedure uses radiofrequency technology to deliver energy to the damaged area of the skin, creating micro-perforations that trigger the body’s natural healing process. This promotes the formation of healthy collagen and elastin fibers, resulting in improved skin texture.
This technique, also known as fibroblast treatment, uses plasma (ionized gas) energy to penetrate the layers of the skin, safely creating micro-injuries and encouraging new collagen and elastin production.
During the procedure, just a small portion of the tissue is ablated. The remaining tissue supplies the healing that leads to the elimination of irregular epidermal pigmentation, tightening of dermal collagen and the smoothing that results from the generation of new collagen.

Plasma RF skin resurfacing treats facial wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, hands, pigmentation, and other skin blemishes; as well as stretch marks in the abdomen and stretch mark in arms.

The treatment plan for skin resurfacing will vary from person to person; however, in general, it usually takes 3 to 6
session to reach the desired goal; with each session done 2 to 3 weeks a part.

After completing the series of 3 to 6 sessions, you may choose to do another session every 6 months or once a year to maintain
your healthy skin condition.

Skin resurfacing with the Accent Prime Pixel RF can be used year-round, with no seasonal restrictions. 

Full face resurfacing takes 20 min; when adding neck and chest it can extend to 45 minutes. 

The device uses controlled heat on the skin so you may feel minor discomfort during the procedure or some warmth. Afterward, you might experience some redness or swelling that should resolve within two to five days. You will be left with soft with rejuvenated skin you can enjoy.

Patients typically start to see results the very next day although improvements will be more evident in the following 2 weeks or up to 1 month later.
The depth and diameter if the microinjury depends on the setting used in the machine and the level of skin that needs to be removed; as such redness and small temporary inflammation is produced and well tolerated.
Men and Women over 18 years old with any skin color desiring to enhance their skin condition.
Clients with rosacea may have issues with skin resurfacing.

RF skin resurfacing can also be combined with Accent Prime UltraSound fat cell reduction if volume reduction is desired.
For the abdomen area, in addition to volume reduction, we can also use Emsculpt for muscle development.
